Our reception staff can assist you with all administrative queries, such as appointments and general centre queries. Reception staff are not qualified to discuss clinical information such as results. Our Practice Manager Lynda is available to discuss any feedback, concerns or suggestions you may have.


Our nursing team are happy to assist you with medical queries where they can, and assist the doctors to provide you with the best possible medical attention.


Dr Andrew Duguid: MBBS (Adel); DRACOG; FACRRM

Consulting days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & every 2nd Wednesday.

Dr Duguid has worked at Plaza Medical Centre since 2000 after moving from a practice in rural South Australia. He is interested in the variety of general practice and the long term relationships developed with people and their families.

Dr Max Bedford: MB ChB; FRACGP

Consulting days: Tuesday to Friday and skin clinics every Monday.

Dr Max Bedford has been established at Plaza Medical Centre for quite some time. Having worked in many countries with experience in rural and urban settings and with many years as a senior clinician in Wollongong Emergency Department.

Dr Bedford is passionate about the health of children and young people, has an interest in skin conditions and maintains acute skills with appointments open every day for emergency problems.


Consulting days: Monday to Friday

Dr Ellis graduated from Melbourne University in 1981. He has practiced in Coffs Harbour for the past 30 years and has a special interest in HIV.

Dr Neville Wulff: MB ChB; FRACGP; BSc Sports Med; DAME

Consulting days: Tuesday to Friday

After finishing his primary degree in Medicine he graduated from South Africa with a post graduate degree in Sports Medicine. Having worked in various countries he settled in Australia where he worked in rural country Victoria and then moved to Coffs Harbour.

He deals with all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in Musculoskeletal/Sports Medicine and Aviation Medicine.

Dr Shahab Shirazi: MBBS; FRACGP; BAppSc (Physio)

Consulting days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

Dr Shahab Shirazi initially trained as a physiotherapist before finishing his medical degree. He has worked in different capacities both in Sydney and on the north coast from Kempsey to Ballina before settling in Coffs with his family. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and tries to maintain a long term relationship with his patients. He also works part time at Headspace where he works with young people aged 12-25 years of age.

Dr Amanda Henderson: MB CHB; FRACGP

Consulting days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & every 2nd Wednesday.

Dr Amanda Henderson was trained and worked in New Zealand for 2 years before making the move to Coffs Harbour. She has pursued an interest in Emergency Medicine for 5 years at Coffs Harbour Emergency Department before making the move to General Practice.

Dr Henderson enjoys a wide range of general practice and caring for a variety of patients.

Dr Claire Cooper: MB CHB; FRACGP

Consulting days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday

Dr Claire Cooper is a GP Registrar, originally for the UK she completed her training and worked in the hospital system for several years in Glasgow. Since moving to Coffs Harbour she has worked in the Emergency Department for over 2 years before starting her GP training. She has a broad range of interest within General Practice.

Dr Emma McQuillan obtained her primary medical degree in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England where she worked before emigrating to Australia in 2014. Dr McQuillan has spent substantial time in a range of specialties including Emergency Medicine and has also worked at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr McQuillan has a particular interest in Paediatrics and Women’s Health and has undertaken both the Diploma of Child Health (DCH) and The Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG).
Outside of work Dr McQuillan enjoys keeping fit, travelling and exploring all that this beautiful country has to offer!

Dr Devon Butler MBBS

Originally from Canada, Dr Devon Butler obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. She completed her internship in Townsville and Mount Isa. Dr Butler then moved to the Gold Coast for additional training as a resident medical officer in various surgical and medical specialties at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital. Prior to her decision to pursue medicine, Dr Butler completed a Kinesiology degree (Bachelor of Science) from the University of Calgary. Dr Butler has a special interest in Ophthalmology and Sports Medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors.
